On your journey to success, there are obstacles, struggles & challenges that you might encounter, which can kill your zeal to succeed or be your stepping stone. I definitely know you want to succeed and that’s the reason you’re reading this post. To achieve success or to actualize your dreams, avoiding the things that kill success & dreams is essentially important. There are lots of things that can kill your success & dreams, but I’ve compiled the 5 most dangerous of them.

Here are The 5 Most Dangerous Dream Killers To Avoid:

  1. Fear.

Of all the liars in the world, sometimes the worst are our own fear.

_Rudyard Kipling

Fear is perhaps the most obvious dream killer. The fear of what others think, the fear of failure, the fear of not succeeding & the fear of positive outcomes can undermine your dreams and goals. Most times, your past plays a major role in this. Maybe you’re in constant fear, because of the past experiences you had like past failures, past disappointments, past personal pains of rejection, etc. It’s important to know that we all have fear, but successful people act in spite of fear. Let your desire to succeed, be far greater than your fear of failure or fear of not succeeding.

  1. Self Doubt.

Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.

_Suzy Kassem

Whenever you see yourself doubting, you’re simply questioning your ability to meet your expectations. Self doubt is a powerful dream killer. Doubts are the internal struggles that are birthed from within like (uncertainties or lack of conviction). Self doubt arises as an independent barrier that you alone constructed and you alone must face. Most times, self doubt hijacks your journey to greatness and makes getting started or finishing things harder than they need to be. Be aware of your thoughts and it’s important to know that ‘ Yes You Can! ’.

  1. Negativity.

Dwelling on the negative simply contributes to its power.

_Shirley MacLaine

Negative & contaminated influences can come from the society, social groups, social media, TV, radio, news & government. It’s naturally difficult to look on the bright side of life, if you’re surrounded by negativity. Negativity can often come from people and these people, whether family members or friends, discourages you a lot with negative feedbacks. Negative people help you doubt more, they make you believe your doubts. Avoid negativity as hard as possible, it may not be easy but it’s worth it.

Don’t let the society, social groups, social media, etc. feed your mind with toxicity. Negativity is a dream killer.

  1. Poor Time Management.

Take care of the minutes and the hours will take care of themselves.

_Lord Chesterfield

Time management is the way you decide to utilize your time in order to maximize your productivity in achieving certain long-term or short-term goals. Both the rich & the poor gets the same amount of time (24hours) as everyone else, but how they both spend their time differs. If you manage your time poorly, your chances of succeeding or actualizing your dreams reduces. How you spend your time determines if you’re a step closer to your goals & dreams or if you’re few steps away from your goals. Manage your time wisely & maximize your productivity today.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.

_Abraham Lincoln
